TAMA Electronics began as a test business in 1979, serving as a production base for the Oki Electric Semiconductor Group. Since then, we have established an impressive production track record, advanced technologies, and technical knowledge and skills in a wide variety of fields, such as chip machining, final memory testing, and WCSP product assembly. We continue to prioritize quality, cost, and speed as we continuously increase our knowledge and skills, so that we can flexibly respond to the ever more advanced and diverse needs of our customers.
TAMA Electronics boasts extensive knowledge and skill born over many years in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, and advanced technological ability based on our extensive experience and track record. Our specialty is applying the dicing technology we have developed in working on silicon wafers to cut thin, fragile, and hard glass. Our development of the world's thinnest IR filter is just one example. This also makes thin lens modules possible. Installing the latest semiconductor assembly and testing equipment, establishing a clean production environment, and upgrading/adding equipment has made it possible to integrate manufacturing - from filter manufacturing to dicing and inspection. In our IR cut filter and other optical glass filter business, we provide integrated services that cover everything from optical/thin film design to evaporation coating and dicing - to whatever size you request.
Our HQ Plant operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year under a two-shift system where plant staff are split into four teams. We can accept orders, ship, and even confirm progress even at night. This allows us to support your needs at any time, helping to improve your productivity and reduce your costs. In addition to our stable and speedy production system, we continue to work toward minimizing manufacturing processes and shortening lead times. We promise to do our best to meet your needs, even when it comes to urgent requests on short deadlines.
Our ability to adapt ourselves to your requirements is yet another of our strengths. One example is small-lot production. We use 76 mm 76 mm sheets of raw glass for our substrates, making even small-lot production possible. Please feel free to contact us, no matter how small your order. We have used the knowledge and skill we have developed in the semiconductor manufacturing industry to build partnerships with customers in the electronics industry unrelated to semiconductors, among whom we have earned a sterling reputation.
We are committed to improving the skill levels of our employees through a variety of training programs. We offer correspondence courses, regular quality training courses, ESD training, and more, in order to improve technological skills, increase productivity and quality, and stimulate our employees. Our employees also acquire a range of skills via manufacturing experience in a wide variety of fields, such as semiconductor manufacture pre-processes and post-processes, optical product machining, inspections, and other electronic devices. These skills are then applied toward managing production and quality.
